Veneered plywood cutting
Veneered plywood is a type of panel made from medium-density fiberboard (MDF) or high-density fiberboard (HDF) as the base material, with surfaces bonded with materials such as wood grain paper. Due to the manufacturing process where a layer of craft paper is first adhered, followed by the printing of wood grain paper and other materials, the surface of the veneered plywood not only has a high degree of flatness but also offers a rich variety of patterns and colors that can be customized according to specific requirements. The durability and lifespan of veneered plywood are quite reliable, as it is resistant to deformation, cracking, and warping, and is easy to maintain and clean.
Veneered plywood is widely used in many fields, especially in furniture making. On one hand, furniture with real wood veneer possesses the appearance of solid wood furniture, allowing for a variety of finishes and lacquers suitable for different styles of furniture. On the other hand, the cost of real wood veneer furniture is relatively lower, and the processing of the veneered plywood surface is simple, giving it a natural feel.
For processing with veneered plywood, we recommend choosing up & down cut spiral bit or a panel saw, which is a kind of endmill for wood and helps to prevent edge chipping. The up & down cut spiral bit features a unique upper, lower, and right rotation design that ensures the integrity of the cut surface on wood with resin veneer, with no burrs on the top or bottom. The mirror polishing on the cutting edge and within the groove ensures the sharpness, durability, and smooth chip removal of the cutter. Because of the reasons above, this kind of end mill is often widely used as China woodworking tools.
